Age Group: 9:00 – 9:45 am M, T, TH, F

Junior Group: 9:00 – 10:30 am M, T, W, TH, F

Senior Group: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm M, T, W, TH, F

Saturday practice schedule will remain the same.

BB Championship Meet

If your name is listed on the attached Eligibility Report you are eligible to swim those events in the upcoming meet to be held January 27-29^th in San Antonio at the University of Incarnate Word hosted by Streamline Aquatics. Please read through the attached meet information.

If you are planning on representing COTA at the BB Championship meet, please notify us of the dates you will be attending and the events you will enter no later than Saturday, January 14th at 9:00 pm.

Hotel accommodation information is included in the meet info on Page 10. If you plan on attending and will stay in San Antonio the host team has reserved a block of rooms that must be reserved by January 12^th.

The A Championship Meet information will be forthcoming. The A Championship Meet will be held in San Antonio during the weekend of February 17-19^th.

Holiday Practice Schedule 2011

Thanksgiving Week Practice Schedule:

Week of November 21^st – 26^th, COTA will be conducting regular practices Monday thru Wednesday only, the 21^st – 23^rd. There will be no practice Thursday the 24^th thru Saturday the 26^th. Happy Thanksgiving!

December/January Winter Break Schedule:

With the holidays rapidly approaching, the practice schedule for the swimmers school break will be as follows starting Tuesday, December 27^th:

Senior                             9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Age                               11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Junior                            11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

COTA will not have practices on December 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th.

This practice schedule will be in effect through Monday, January 2^nd . Normal practice times will resume on Tuesday, January 3^rd, 2012. Happy Holidays!

Friday evening is for all age group swimmers. Saturday and Sunday morning sessions are for 12 & under and the afternoon sessions are for 13 & up. Checks should be made payable to COTA and left in the payment box by the entry fee deadline.

If you are planning on attending this meet, please email Jodie Gordon with which days you will be attending and how many events you want your swimmer to compete in (schedule of events is on page 5 of the linked document above). Coach Chic will be signing the swimmers up for their events based on your replies. If you do not reply, Coach Chic will assume you are attending and will enter you in the meet.

New Swim Families
If you are new to Capital of Texas Aquatics or a past swim family that did not swim with COTA during 2010-2011 Short Course or 2011 Long Course season, please carefully read the registration instructions from the links below and then print out the correct forms to complete. If you have any questions about which USA Swimming registration forms to use, please contact admin@cotaswim.com.

Please bring your completed registration materials and swimmer(s) to one of our practice times. During this time your swimmer will be evaluated by our coach to determine group placement.

Returning Swim Families
For our returning swim families who were with us during the 2010 Short Course and/or 2011 Long Course please:

Fill out and sign the Medical Release form (one per swimmer) and the Financial Agreement. The Medical Release form is page 2 and the Financial Agreement page 3 of the Registration Document.
Send an email to the COTA Administrator, admin@capitaloftexasaquatics.com with any changes to the current contact information on file with the team.
Sign your pre-printed USA Swimming 2012 USA Athlete Registration which will be available at the pool.

All registration fees will be itemized on your September invoice. Welcome back!

COTA Has A New Home

Beginning Monday, August 22nd 2011, The Courtyard Tennis Club (CYTC), located at 5608 Courtyard Drive, Austin, TX 78731, will be the new home for COTA. The CYTC has been helpful and very accommodating. Coach Chic asking that all of us to join him in returning the favor by respecting the Courtyard Club rules’ honoring their rules as well as its members. This is a very exciting time! COTA is proud to take the team to CYTC as this a giant step up and forward.

A little information about the pool: Containing 192,681 gallons of water, Courtyard has 6 lanes that are 25 yards long. There is also a 12.5yd x 12.5yd wide x 11ft deep diving well. The Courtyard has lots of deck space and a cabana where your belongings will stay dry when it rains. Swimmers should enter and exit the pool at the gate located on the fence to the right when you first enter the parking lot. Please DO NOT use the main club house to access the pool. The main club house and locker rooms are NOT available for swimmers at this time. I’m currently working with the club to make available something for swimmers to use as a suitable changing room. Please respect the requests Courtyard has made to COTA.
